Nellie's Puppies Day One

Nellie's puppies have arrived! They are the sweetest little things and we are so happy they are here. We had five boys in varying colors of cream, apricot and even one red boy! Mom and puppies are doing great. Nellie has been taking such good care of her puppies.

Nellie

Just wanted to share two cute pictures of Nellie. This was the evening before she had her puppies. Isn't she adorable?

Pictures!

I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I am not nearly ready to send these sweet puppies to their new homes! They are an absolute joy each and every day and we will certainly be a little lonely once they join their new families. They spend most of their time running all around the kitchen, playing with their toys and being little stinkers to their mom! Lola has taken on more of a teacher(and playmate) roll to the puppies. She loves to play with them. It is so much fun to see the dynamic between mom and her pups. These next couple of weeks are important because she will teach them a bit about behavior and keeping themselves clean. We will certainly enjoy each moment we have with them.

Group Picture - Lola's Puppies

Just wanted to share a cute picture in addition to the video. Adorable!

Video Of Lola's Puppies

I promised a video of Lola's puppies showing them as they try out their legs. Here it is! They are doing really well. It is amazing how fast they learn. They have just started "playing" with each other in the last day or so. It isn't quite as much playing as it is, putting their paws on each other and then losing their balance and rolling over. It is very cute.
Enjoy!

Lola's Puppies at 2 Weeks

Wow! Lola's puppies are two weeks old. I just can't believe it. Time is flying! Two of the puppies have their eyes open. Orange ribbon opened hers yesterday and had us oohing and ahhing all day. Brown ribbon's opened today. Black ribbon's eyes are not quite open yet, almost! Today my daughter and I were giggling while we watched the puppies trying to stand up on their legs and "walk" (if you can call it that). It is the absolute cutest thing to see. They are not very good at it yet, but it will take them no time at all to figure it out!

Lola's One Week Pictures

Below are the one week pictures of Lola's puppies. They may not seem a whole lot bigger in the pictures, and they aren't a lot bigger, but they have filled out. They are much chunkier and more solid than when they were first born. They are doing great gaining weight. When I weighed them today they were 12-13 oz. Still so tiny! We notice all the subtle changes this week. That the puppies ears have more fur on them each day. That Black ribbon's nose has darkened, but Brown ribbon's hasn't yet(maybe it won't at all). That even though they are still so small, those little legs are strong! These little pups can really move when they want to. Which is usually when they are looking for mom! It's amazing how they can't see or hear yet, but those little noses will guide them right to meal time! I added a few group pictures of the puppies sleeping. It is so cute how they have to be in a dog pile. This will continue until they go to their new homes, although towards 7 and 8 weeks it will be more sleeping next to each other and not quite on top of each other.

Video of Lola's puppies and the noises they make!

Some cute pictures of Lola's puppies

Just a cute sleepy picture to share

Video of Gia's Puppies at 4 1/2 Weeks

Well, this was our first attempt at getting some videos of the puppies playing. It was a little tough because mostly the puppies wanted to climb in my lap. Don't they realize that makes it hard to get them on the video? :)
Well Tom tried to get them interested in him so I could tape them and that did help a little. The puppies are so absolutely adorable at this age. They really enjoy playing with each other and their toys. We cannot get over how low key and easy to have around they are. They do not bark or whine or cry. They simply nap and play, and if you want to join in their playtime, they will definitely enjoy it. They really love to find a lap to climb into and I can't say that I don't enjoy having 4 puppies all snuggled together on my lap!! Anyway, please enjoy the puppies movie debut!

Lola's Individual Pictures!

Thank you for your patience waiting for Lola's individual puppy pictures. I think they were worth the wait! The puppies are doing extraordinarily well. Lola is such a fantastic mom and wants to do nothing but take care of her babies. She has her own little area in the kitchen(kind of like a playpen) with blankies to keep her and the babies comfy. She is so funny when we take her for her potty break. I have never seen her do her business so fast. She then runs to the door looking at us like "hurry up"! Once we open the door she is running like the wind to get right back to her puppies. They are doing great gaining weight thanks to their devoted mom. I love their little puppy noises as they nurse and wiggle around to get in a comfy sleeping position. It is super cute, although sometimes they do sounds like little ghosts! I'll have to try to catch it on video. Below are their pictures.
Enjoy!

2nd Picture: Black ribbon boy
3rd Picture: Brown ribbon boy
4th Picture: I couldn't resist posting a picture of what the boys were doing while I was taking a picture of Orange ribbon girl. They were fast asleep in the corner of the couch!

We had to go with Fall colors for their ribbons!

Snuggly Lola

I had to capture this cute picture of Lola to show just how cuddly she is. Yes, I do allow her to snuggle with me on the couch. This is all she wants to do now, get as close to me, my daughter, my son or my husband and take a little nap. Many times when I am writing emails or updating the website, she is right on my lap snoozing! She does have a hard time getting up on the couch now. I think she could still make it if she tried. Instead, she will walk up to the couch and look at one of us and wait patiently for us to pick her up. She is such a good mom she doesn't want to risk the jump and not make it!
Enjoy the pick of Lola's lazy evening!

Video of Gia's Puppies

Not only do we have adorable new pictures on our website of Gia's puppies, but we have a super cute video of them nursing. Gia is such a great mom, so caring for all of her babies. She never wants to leave them, and you can tell because they all have chunky little tummies!

If you listen closely, you can hear the little noises they make when they eat. We love when they are little like this, it is just the sweetest sound to hear them when they are eating. Also, check out Red ribbon's tail. How funny!!

Hope you enjoy!

Lola at 7 Weeks

Wow, we have taken quite a break from blogging this Summer! I didn't realize it had been so long. We have had a busy Summer this year with puppies that went home in June, traveling and lots of activities with our children. With the kids back in school I certainly have more time to blog, and of course now that we have a litter on the way in a couple of weeks and one already here, I have something to write about and pictures to share!

Below is a picture of Lola. It's not the best angle to show her belly to someone not used to what she looks like when she is not pregnant(even in this picture we can see a big difference as Lola is a petite girl with nor belly usually), but I was lucky that she was tired enough to lay there for me to take the picture, so I can't complain. She is doing great, getting lots of attention from everyone. She is even more lovey dovey with us(if that is possible) and with food!! She loves to eat! Every time I go into the kitchen she is there looking up at me with her puppy dog eyes, hoping I will give her something. Her food has been increased, of course and we are adding some nice supplements and special food to her diet to give her and her puppies all they need, but if she had it her way, I think she would be eating all day long, and pizza would be at the top of her menu!

We are very excited for the puppies to arrive and will continue to post here with info!

Victoria and Q's Puppies at 3 Weeks

The puppies are doing great! They have developed a lot this last week. It is always amazing to see the differences that occur between weeks 2, 3 and 4. The puppies are playful with each other and learning how to use their legs. Sometimes they are still a bit wobbly, but they are doing a good job! They will be starting puppy mush soon, but are still spending much of their time with mom. Once they are better at being mobile, they will play with their dad, Q and our 5 month old Labradoodle puppy, Boone. That's when the fun really begins! Please enjoy the pictures. They are so cute!
