Here are some cute ones

OK, now for some cute everyday puppy shots. No posing, just puppies au natural. Sleeping(what they do a lot of right now, dogpiling(so cute and funny too) and just being themsleves. Hey I know your my brother.....but do you have to lay on me??

More puppy socializing.

We are so lucky to have such great puppy socializers and so many of them. It really gets the puppies used to being held, by small hands, medium hands, large hands. Cuddled, snuggled, having their ears and feet and little toes touched being turned on their backs and having their bellies rubbed. The ears and toes and bellies are just for you new familiy members out there. It is so important to get them used to people touching their feet and ears. This makes it easier for you to trim their nails, clean their ears, have them groomed. I'm sure we all know a dog, if not many that yanks it's paws away if you try to touch them or hides it's ears from you. The belly rubbing ensures that the puppy knows that he/she is not boss. You are. We all love dogs that are so relaxed and easy going that they offer their belly to be scratched, rather then timid or defensive. So even though they are still very young, every time these puppies are handled it is so important!!

Lots of Pictures...since I have fallen so behind...

OK, Apologies are in order. I have eight adorable puppies, and I have allowed myself to get distracted with the Holiday and have fallen behind on posting pictures of them. I have lots of pictures to put up so I hope you enjoy them. All the puppies opened their eyes last week. Not that they weren't cute before, but when you see those sweet puppy dog eyes it just melts your heart.

I can't believe how big they are getting. It feels like time is just flying by. Every time we have the puppy socializers here or friends over to hang out they are amazed at how fast they are growing. This picture is of pink ribbon puppy. She was the first one to open her eyes. I think she is saying "did you wake me up for this?"

Cute Cuddly Puppies!

Here is a picture we couldn't resist putting up!

Puppy Socializing Time!

Here are some updated pictures of the puppies with the official puppy socializing team!
We had our first puppy socializing yesterday. Our puppies were held and cuddled and had their little feet and ears rubbed. I don't know who enjoyed it more, the puppies or the socializers.

Here's a nice group shot of the team!!

Oh how sweet!

The puppies are growing so much each day. It is amazing to see all the changes. The puppies were born with pink noses and mouths and slowly we watched them change to grey and then black. Their ears were so pink with no hair and now they are all fuzzy and cute! They are all gaining at least an ounce a day, some little chunkers are are gaining 2-3 ounces!! As you can tell Lucy is a great mom, keeping their belly's full! She is just superb with them. Always taking care of them.

Well I some cute shots today and couldn't wait to post them for everyone to check out!!

The Puppies Have Arrived!!

Good Morning everyone,

What an eventful night and early morning we had. Lucy had 8 healthy adorable puppies last night. We have 6 girls and 2 boys. Lucy did a great job as we knew she would. She wrapped it up in 6 hours, so by 2:45 we were able to just sit and take in mom cuddling and comforting her pups.

I am posting some pics now and will put some more up later. The ones with Lucy and her pups are just the cutest. She lets them all crawl up to her to nurse and then she curls around them to keep them warm and to keep them from wandering away. You can hardly tell there are 8 puppies there. She is such a sweet mom.

Enjoy the pictures!

Only Days Away.....

Hey all,

Just a quick update that Lucy is only days away from having her puppies. We are so excited!

Soon the house will be filled with the smells of apple pies and cookies, and the sounds of tiny puppies scooting around their welping box trying to stay close to mom or piling on top of one another. I don't think I could ask for a better holiday this year.

We've moved the welping box into the kitchen so Lucy can make herself at home.
Sorry for the short entry but we've got some other stuff going on this a.m. but we still wanted to update everyone on Lucy's progress.
Check out the belly on this girl!

Fall Pictures

Hey Everyone,

Today was such a nice day, I had to get my camera out. The kids and I set up a little blanket with some fall leaves for the dogs to have some cute pictures. The kids got a kick out of arranging the leaves and then making funny faces at the dogs to get them to pose nicely. Both girls made it easy for me, posing like professionals! It could be partly because Lucy's belly is getting so big that she doesn't move all that fast anymore. My daughter and were checking Linnie out yesterday and we both think we felt some tiny puppies. We are so excited. We are going to check again tonight and see if we can feel them again. Linnie's belly should start getting bigger now too making it very obvious that she is a mom to be.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Even our birthday cakes are doodles!!

Lucy's well on her way to being a mommy!

Good evening everyone,
Well Lucy is definitely going to be a mom again soon. She has already gone through the loss of interest in food phase. It was hard to tell at first, because Lucy is a very light eater anyway. But eventually my daughter was feeding Lucy out of the palm of her hand to get her to eat. But that has passed and she has a very healthy appetite now. Instead of feeding her twice a day we are giving her 4 smaller meals. This helps her not to get bloated and feel sick, and wards off any bouts of vomiting. She is also starting to get a little belly on her. Now no one else would probably notice, but with Lucy's petite frame it is easy for us to spot!
Linnie on the other hand is more difficult to pinpoint signs of pregnancy. She is so food driven that she never loses her appetite during pregnancy. And she loves the part when we start to increase the amount of food she eats. Boy does her little labradoodle face light up when she sees more food coming her way! We will give her another week before we know for certain.
We are very excited and will update everyone in another week or so!

Look at Linnie's Pups Now!

I haven't had a chance to get these pictures on the website yet. I wanted everyone to see how cute Minnie and Gracie are.
I will get them on the Labradoodle Pictures page asap, but until then look how they've grown!

Minnie lives here in Greenville and was Petsmart Pet of the Month when she was doing her training! We are so proud of her! We are lucky enough to have Minnie stay with us every now and then and she is a great dog! She is very sweet and obedient and what a fluffball!

Hi all,
I got some pictures of Gracie the other day. She was the smallest puppy in Linnie's last litter. When I say small, I mean tiny. She was so sweet and cuddly. I am planning on adding it to my website on our Labradoodle pictures page, but until then I wanted to get it on the blog for everyone to see.

Isn't she cute in her summer cut?

We're Expecting!

Hi Everyone,
Well Lucy had her "Honeymoon" with Max a couple of weeks ago, and we are getting ourselves prepared to welcome some Goldendoodle puppies in the upcoming weeks. Lucy is so petite it is usually easy to tell early on if she is pregnant. We are all so excited here it is hard to wait, but only time will tell!
It is still too soon to expect to see signs from Linnie either, but we are hopeful that we will have some gorgeous labradoodle puppies running around in a few months.
I couldn't ask for a better time to have puppies. With the heat wave we hadhere in South Carolina finally over and the puppies arrival expected in the nice fall weather, they will have the perfect temperatures to run around outside and play. Maybe my children will want to help with raking the leaves this year if they can rake piles for the puppies to run and play in. Hmm...maybe that is wishful thinking...
Check back often, as I will update the blog with info on confirmed pregnancy and other information as well as pictures when the puppies arrive!!

Lucy's New Haircut!

OK since I am updating my blog, I decided that I couldn't resist a before and after shot of Lucy.

When I went to pick her up at the groomer's I didn't recognize her! Now of course I have seen her with short hair before, but it has been so long and her coat had grown out so much and gotten so fluffy that I was surprised(pleasantly of course) when I saw her.

I love her coat longer, but it is much harder to maintain and with Lucy expecting, I don't want her to have to tote a big belly and a heavy coat.

What do you think?
